Welder / Fabricator
Salary Range: 15.00 - 18.00 USD Hourly

Major Duties:
Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. Weld aluminum tanks and fabricate new parts from steel and aluminum. Incumbent works on heavy vehicles and equipment such as tanker trailers, dump trucks, bulldozers, road graders, and similar heavy construction and earth moving vehicles and attachments.
Qualifications:
While there is no minimum amount of training or experience required, the applicant must have had experience, military or civilian, paid or unpaid, of sufficient scope and quality to perform the duties of a welder / fabricator.
Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:
Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, turning, and lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds; occasional sitting, climbing, kneeling, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds and using foot controls. Must be able to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on vehicles, trucks, mobile equipment, air tools, generators, pumps, tractors, etc. May be required to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Finger dexterity, good color vision and hearing, ability to perform close work. Occasionally required to work in confined areas and at heights of 20 feet or more.
Conditions of Employment:
1. Successful candidate must possess or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license.
2. This is a drug testing designated position. Applicant(s) tentatively selected for this position will be required prior to appointment to
submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use. As a condition of continued employment in this position, incumbent(s) will be
subject to random testing for illegal drug use.
